Scheduled for August 18, the event promises a blend of athleticism and advocacy, offering participants a choice between the 21 km, 10 km, 5 km races, and a Wheelchair race. Each runner, upon payment of sh20,000/- for the running kit, contributes to a noble cause aimed at enhancing inclusivity within the university community.

Recent developments have seen a surge in support from various quarters, including the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, whose Commissioner for Youth and Children Affairs, Mondo Kyateka, emphasized the ministry’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity. He lauded Makerere University for championing equal access to education facilities, underscoring the societal imperative of integrating children with disabilities from their earliest stages.
