He recalled Raisi’s recent visit to Uganda in July 2023, where despite the late hour, Raisi insisted on touring community projects, demonstrating his commitment to grassroots development.
The tragedy unfolded when adverse weather conditions forced the helicopter carrying Raisi and officials to make a difficult landing in Iran’s northwestern province of East Azerbaijan, according to reports from Iran’s state-run IRIB TV.
