It all began with an unexpected phone call from Fik Fameica, who dropped the bombshell that Sheebah herself was interested in remixing “Njalwala” with Aaronx.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was so shocked that I dropped my phone and ran around my house in excitement,” Aaronx recalled.
After gathering himself, Aaronx wasted no time in reaching out to Sheebah. Despite initial difficulties in getting through to her, Sheebah eventually returned his call, expressing her admiration for his music, especially “Njalwala.”
Plans were made for a studio session, but a last-minute hiccup occurred when Sheebah was unreachable due to voice issues from previous performances. However, Sheebah later apologized and they rescheduled the recording.
