Goals from Victor Boniface and Robert Andrich secured Leverkusen’s 28th league win of the season. They were crowned German champions for the first time last month and finished with 90 points from 34 matches, 17 points clear of second-place Stuttgart.
Since his arrival in October 2022, Xabi Alonso has transformed Leverkusen’s fortunes, guiding them to a sixth-place finish despite a shaky start.
While an improved Bundesliga campaign was anticipated, few expected an unbeaten season. Leverkusen’s dominance has been remarkable, as they amassed the second-highest points total (90) in Bundesliga history, just behind Bayern Munich’s 91.

Although Atalanta lost 1-0 to Juventus in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday, they have finished their campaign strongly, winning six and drawing one of their last eight matches in all competitions.
They overcame Sporting CP, Liverpool, and Marseille to reach the Europa League final.
