Victory in Jinja: Kasozi and Kisakye Take the Titles

Joseph “Sharp Shooter” Kasozi won the 2024 Pool King title. Marion “Ankah Sheila” Kisakye claimed the Pool Queen crown.

Event Overview

The Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) organized the 2024 Pool Queen and King Championships in Jinja. The event concluded successfully on Saturday, June 22nd.

2024 Pool King: Joseph “Sharp Shooter” Kasozi

Joseph “Sharp Shooter” Kasozi overcame Caesar Chandiga, the reigning Nile Special national open champion, with a score of 7-6. Kasozi trailed 4-2 at one point, called a timeout, and used it to his advantage. He then led 6-4 before Chandiga tied it. However, Kasozi held his nerve, securing the final point to win the title.

Elated, Kasozi acknowledged the high competition and his confidence throughout the match. His victory earned him a cash prize of Shs3m. “I am happy for my victory. The competition was high throughout, but I gave it my best,” Kasozi noted.

2024 Pool Queen: Marion “Ankah Sheila” Kisakye

Marion “Ankah Sheila” Kisakye won in a thrilling penalty shootout against national champion Rukia Nayiga. Their match ended 5-all after regular playtime, leading to a 9-8 penalty win for Kisakye. Her remarkable performance delighted the home crowd and earned her Shs 2,000,000.
