Italian giants Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, according to Sky Italia. However, there seems to be a disagreement on the transfer fee.
Villa are said to be asking for €20 million ($21.4 million) in cash, along with young winger Samuel Iling-Junior, for the 26-year-old Brazilian. Juventus, on the other hand, are hoping to lower the cash amount and are proposing Weston McKennie as part of the deal.
Reports suggest that both clubs are in “continuous contact” and are optimistic about reaching an agreement. McKennie and Iling-Junior, both 25 and 20 years old respectively, have contracts with Juventus until 2025.
While Sky Italia claims the “last few hours could have been decisive” for Luiz’s move, some believe the proposed deal favors Juventus more than Aston Villa.
