Karole Kasita: “Marriage Is Not for Me”

Ugandan songstress Karole Kasita has made it clear that settling into a marriage relationship is not on her agenda anytime soon. Instead, she prefers a partnership where they can maintain separate living spaces, occasionally visiting each other.

Having observed the challenges faced by friends and family in marriage, Kasita prioritizes love, understanding, and personal happiness over traditional commitments. The singer, known for her hit “Tetunazina,” simply cannot envision sharing a home with a partner.

“Some of us have seen what marriage brings,” she shared. “I’ve realized there’s nothing in it for me. I’d rather have a partner with whom there’s mutual love and happiness. If he’s a good man, he can come over and enjoy time with me, then go back to his own place. There’s so much peace in that arrangement.”

Kasita, a mother to one son, has kept her romantic life largely private, despite ongoing rumors linking her to rapper Feffe Bussi. Her past experiences have given her valuable insights into relationships. Having lived with a man previously, she learned firsthand about the potential pitfalls of marriage and cohabitation, even if there was no physical abuse involved.

She advises young women to focus on their personal development, encouraging them to buy land and build their own homes before considering marriage. For Kasita, having a solid foundation is crucial in case relationships do not go as planned.
