Our Canadian Show Flopped Because of Alien Skin – Lydia Jazmine

What you need to know:

  • Scheduled to perform alongside Alien Skin, a critic of Bobi Wine and favored by Museveni, the event faced allegations of poor attendance and empty seats.
  • Politics did impact the event because of my association with Alien Skin, but I appreciate those who did attend,” she remarked in an interview with a local YouTuber.

Earlier this month, Lydia Jazmine launched her global “First Born” concert tour in Toronto, Canada. Scheduled to perform alongside Alien Skin, a critic of Bobi Wine and favored by Museveni, the event faced allegations of poor attendance and empty seats.

Jazmine attributed the low turnout to political factors involving Alien Skin. She explained that many Ugandan diaspora attendees are opposition supporters who may have opted not to attend due to the presence of the controversial “Sitya Danger” hitmaker.

“Personally, I was satisfied with the turnout in Toronto. Although there are fewer Ugandans compared to Nigerians in the city, they still showed their support. Politics did impact the event because of my association with Alien Skin, but I appreciate those who did attend,” she remarked in an interview with a local YouTuber.

Jazmine also announced plans to continue her tour across Europe until December of this year.
