Singer Nina Roz has candidly shared her experience with overcoming drug addiction and addressing rumors about her pregnancy. The talented artist, whose real name is Nina Kankunda, revealed that her journey through drug withdrawal led to noticeable changes in her body, which some mistook as signs of pregnancy.

Nina Roz’s struggles with addiction became public knowledge around 2020, where she faced challenges in overcoming her dependency despite denying relapses. She emphasized in the interview that her substance use involved hard drugs, distinguishing them from marijuana, which she described as a “simple herb.”

Drug withdrawal, as Nina Roz highlighted, involves a range of symptoms such as anxiety, mood swings, nausea, sweating, and intense cravings. The process can be physically and psychologically demanding, impacting personal well-being and social interactions.

Despite the difficulties, Nina Roz has made significant progress over the past four years. She recently announced plans to venture into politics, aiming to represent her home district of Sembabule in the 2026 elections under the National Unity Platform (NUP). Her decision reflects a new chapter in her life dedicated to serving her community beyond her music career.
