RwandAir Cargo has announced the launch of new services to Dubai and Djibouti, utilizing its dedicated freighter B738SF for both routes. This expansion is part of RwandAir’s commitment to enhancing connectivity between Africa and the global market, as stated on June 10.
With these additions, RwandAir’s cargo network will encompass seven destinations, further bolstering their freighter operations across Africa and the Middle East.
Yvonne Makolo, CEO of RwandAir, emphasized the strategic significance of these new routes: “These additional destinations will facilitate efficient and reliable business connections, fostering increased trade opportunities between Rwanda, the UAE, Djibouti, and the wider continent.”
Recognizing Rwanda’s landlocked position, Makolo highlighted the crucial role of air freight in driving economic growth not only within Africa but also beyond its borders.
“Our central location in Africa positions us to link every corner of the continent, and we look forward to expanding our reach even further,” she added.

RwandAir Cargo will commence dedicated freighter services to Djibouti, connecting via Dubai World Central and Sharjah starting June 17, 2024. Flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.
