Simone Biles’ Family Cheers Her on at Gymnastics Team Finals — and Her Husband Wears a Shirt Featuring Her Face!

Simone Biles’ husband, Jonathan Owens, and her parents, Ronald and Nellie, were among the thousands gathered at Bercy Arena in Paris on Tuesday, July 30, to watch her compete for gold in the women’s team final.

Owens, 29, sported a special T-shirt adorned with colorful photos of his wife, 27, and her last name in bold red letters. He also proudly waved an American flag.

Seated beside him in the stands, Ronald and Nellie joined Owens in cheering for the four-time gold medalist as she competed with teammates Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, Hezly Rivera, and Jade Carey.

Owens, an NFL safety for the Chicago Bears who married Biles in 2023, shared his journey to Paris on Instagram, posting a photo from his flight with the caption, “Coming for you baby 💙✈️.” Biles reposted it, adding the emojis: “🤞🏾🤞🏾🥹🥹.”

Upon his arrival in the City of Light, Owens posted photos from various locations around Paris and eventually shared his view from the arena, captioning it, “Almost go time.”

Owens explained that when he signed with the Bears this offseason, he negotiated time off from the team’s mandatory preseason practices to support Biles at the Olympics.

He told PEOPLE earlier this month that he was thrilled to watch Biles go for gold in Paris. “It’s super exciting just because I get a chance to see all the work that she puts in prior to, and you know what? Everything she goes through and dealing with the media and everything, and she still goes out there and does it,” the NFL star said. “It’s just impressive and goes to her training mindset and consistency. That’s the biggest thing, is how consistent she is.”
